Family Court of Australia - Finding a better way: A Bold Departure from the Traditional Common Law Approach to the Conduct of Legal Proceedings - April 2007 This is also an excellent publication: This publication sets out the history and experience[INCLUDING THE FAMILY COURT'S FAILINGS!!!]This publication is an important record that led to the decision to pilot a new approach. A huge 'THANKYOU' to Chief Justice Alastair Nicholson, and a small group of Judges and Court Staff, who, recognised the problems caused by the traditional trial methods and sought to find a solution to them.

*In regards to the Family Court's jurisdiction:

"The High Court held that when dealing with allegations of abuse the Family Court is not required to make a finding of wether particular individuals have inflicted abuse or neglect, which is the role of Criminal Courts".[page.22]

*See Family Law Amendment[Shared Parental Responsibility] Act 2006[Cth] Appendix A

The Family Court profits from family dysfunction! MEDIATE! DON'T ALIENATE!
